Our Cuban office is located in Old Havana’s Plaza San Francisco de Asís in the Lonja del Comercio building (top right). This prominent historic edifice was designed by Tomás Mur and José Toraya, and constructed in 1907 by the US firm Purdy and Henderson. It served as the Havana stock exchange for many decades. Following the Revolution it fell into disrepair. Restoration took place in 1995 under the direction of the Office of the Historian of Havana and the Spanish firm Aurea.
Today it is home to Associated Press (AP), CNN, Spanish Radio and Television, BBC, Consulate General of Spain, Iberostar, Petróleos de Venezuela, and numerous other prestigious foreign enterprises. We invite you to visit us the next time you’re in La Habana.
